Waco, Texas—Workforce Solutions for the Heart of Texas hosted its 2025 Annual Awards of Excellence Banquet on Thursday, Jan. 16, at the Baylor Club in McLane Stadium. The event celebrated individuals, businesses, and organizations from across the Heart of Texas region, which includes Bosque, Falls, Freestone, Hill, Limestone, and McLennan counties.
This event celebrated exceptional contributions to workforce and economic development, honoring the outstanding efforts of local leaders and businesses driving progress and creating opportunities across the region.
The following awards were presented to businesses, organizations and individuals during the 2025 Awards of Excellence Banquet:
- Outstanding Youth Participant, Naun Martinez
- Outstanding Program Participant, Jenny Ashcraft and Galanza Brown Jr.
- Outstanding Child Care Provider, Babe’s-N-Tots Child Care Center
- The Réne Clayton Outstanding Workforce Professional, Tamera Carter
- Honorable Elenor Holmes Service to Community Award, The Honorable Justin Lewis
- Outstanding Large Employer, Packaging Corporation of America
