Heart of Texas unemployment sees slight uptick in July 2023
WACO, Texas—The unemployment rate for the Heart of Texas region saw yet another uptick in July (4.3%) a slight increase from June’s 4.1%. This rate was comprised of 7,791 unemployed residents and 719 continued unemployment claims were recorded.
Bosque county recorded the lowest unemployment rate (3.9%) for our region, followed by Hill & McLennan (4.2%), Falls (4.5%), Limestone (5.3%), and Freestone (6.0%). The regional unemployment rate sits below the state’s (4.5%) and above the national unemployment rate (3.8%). Read more.
