Waco, Texas ⎯ The unemployment rate in the Heart of Texas region rose to 3.5% in May, with 200 jobs added over the month for the Waco Metropolitan Area, according to TexasLMI.com. The 3.5% unemployment rate for May was comprised of 7,159 unemployed residents and 1,045 continued unemployment claims.
