Heart of Texas unemployment rate remains steady
WACO, Texas—The unemployment rate for the Heart of Texas region remained at 3.6% in November 2022, despite 300 new jobs added for the month. This rate was comprised of 6,104 unemployed residents and 691 continued unemployment claims.
McLennan and Bosque counties recorded the lowest unemployment rate (3.3%), followed by Falls (3.8%), Hill (4.3%) and Limestone (4.3%). Freestone’s rate remained the highest at 5.3%.
The Heart of Texas unemployment rate remains below the state’s (3.7%) and above the national unemployment rate (3.4%), TexasLMI.com reports.
