WACO, Texas (July 1, 2024) — Fourteen students celebrated their graduation from the fully funded Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3) Pre-Apprenticeship Training during the MC3 Graduation and Signing Day on Friday, June 28.
This two week training program equipped graduates with essential trade skills through both classroom & practical, hands-on training, along with the necessary skills to become first-year apprentices. Graduates earned an MC3 Pre-Apprenticeship Readiness Certificate from North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) and continuing education credits from MCC. Many of the graduates are set to begin employment next week.

Oscar and Salvador, brothers and MC3 graduates commuted from Dublin, TX each day to attend training, demonstrating their commitment to their future in skilled-trades, “It’s going to get us ready for what to expect, give us a head start. This will give us a career, benefits, and that’s just the goal.”
This program is in partnership with Workforce Solutions for the Heart of Texas, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 72, Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 529, McLennan Community College (MCC), and the Texas Workforce Commission.
