Waco, Texas — In November, the unemployment rate in the Heart of Texas region remained constant at 3.9%, with 7,346 residents actively seeking employment. Additionally, 967 ongoing unemployment claims were registered during the month. The Waco Metropolitan Area saw job growth of 600, bringing the total number of jobs in the region to 140,600.
County-specific unemployment rates within the region are as follows:
- McLennan County: 3.8%
- Bosque County: 3.9%
- Falls County: 4.2%
- Hill County: 4.0%
- Limestone County: 4.5%
- Freestone County: 5.2%
The Texas state unemployment rate stood at 4.2%, while the national rate was slightly lower at 4.0%, as reported by the latest TexasLMI.com data.
